Most of the stolen fishing equipment recovered by the Hall County Sheriff's Office more than a week ago remains unclaimed.

"So far, one victim has been able to identify his property," spokesman Derreck Booth wrote in an email Friday.  "It was valued at more than $500."

Booth added that the investigator handling the case has been contacted by several individuals and is "making arrangements with others."

The items were seized July 26 during the execution of a search warrant.

"The items are believed to have been taken from docks on Lake Lanier over the summer, generally from the Hall/Forsyth County line to the area of Lumpkin County Park," Booth said at the time.  "The area includes shoreline in Dawson, Forsyth and Hall counties."

The items that were recovered include:

• 34 rods with reels

• 5 Lifejackets (in one clear case)

• 22 tackle boxes

• 1 small blue kayak

Victims may contact Investigator Atkins to make arrangements to claim their property. This includes victims who may not have initially filed a theft report.
