Just a few weeks ago, everyone was wondering when - or if - Kevin Harvick was going to make it back to victory lane in a NASCAR Cup Series race in 2019.

Now, he's got two wins under his belt and is carrying a lot of momentum into the Playoffs.

On this week's edition of the Hard Left Turn podcast, Brandon Reed, Pete McCole and Amy Henderson review the news and views out of the race weekend Michigan International Speedway, including:

-Kevin Harvick gets better fuel mileage than everyone else, and turns that into his second win of the season.

-If the aero package in the Cup Series is so great, why do they need to put traction compound on the tracks to make better racing?

-Jimmie Johnson has another bad day - and this one puts him firmly outside the Playoffs with three races to go.

-Clint Bowyer also has a bad day, and will have to fight his way into the Playoffs.

-And our intrepid trio previews this weekend's action at Bristol.

The track forever marketed itself as a raging tempest for drivers to lose their cool and explode in aggressive anger. Jeff Gordon once shoved Matt Kenseth, Tony Stewart threw a helmet, middle fingers are the common form of communication, and tempers are typically teetering right at the boiling point.
