Neither Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield nor Northeast Georgia Health System has offered an update on a new contract between the two entities.
The two sides over the weekend indicated they were close to a new agreement that would allow Anthem customers to continue as in-network patients at NGHS facilities.
After negotiations between the two broke down in the fall, the hospital had agreed to treat Anthem customers as in-network through Dec. 31, 2019. That deadline passed with no information released by either party.
Tens of thousands of Anthem customers use Northeast Georgia Health System facilities in Hall County.
