*Congressmen Doug Collins of Gainesville and Hakeem Jeffries of New York have introduced the bipartisan Effective Assistance of Counsel in the Digital Era Act. The bill is designed to protect private communication between lawyers and incarcerated clients by including emails as a protected form of communication.
*A Hoschton woman, Tracy Jordan, has been named to the Georgia Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, and the Chairman of the White County Commission, Travis Turner of Cleveland, has been appointed to the State Board of Registered Foresters. The appointments were announced this week by Gov. Brian Kemp.
