The City of Gainesville will hold its first Food Truck Saturday Social at Lake Lanier Olympic Park from 2-7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The social will be similar to the city’s Food Truck Friday series, which ended in September. Attendees will have access to a variety of food trucks, drinks and desserts, in addition to live music and other activities.
Food vendors at the event will include: Harvest Catering, The Inked Pig, Talmo Market Cattle Drive, Open Up Good, All Around the World, Cabaki’s Catering, Downtown Drafts, Fairly Local Cupcakes and Tikiz Shaved Ice & Ice Cream.
In addition, Gainesville band Ted & Johnny will perform from 3-6:30 p.m. on the lower plaza and Masterpiece Mixers will be offering an on-site pumpkin painting craft.
“We’re excited about the Food Truck Saturday Social,” said Lake Lanier Olympic Park Special Events Manager Eric Larsen in a statement Tuesday. “Our Food Truck Fridays have gone really well this year and we decided to continue the success. With a Saturday event, we’re looking forward to more people joining us at the park to enjoy some great food and music.”
Due to COVID-19, all attendees and vendors will be encouraged to wear masks, practice social distancing and frequently use hand sanitizer. To encourage social distancing, tables and sanitation stations will be spaced throughout the venue.
