A Gainesville man and a man from Chicago were arrested last night during a traffic stop and charged with trafficking $330,000 worth of methamphetamine and heroin.
A press release from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office states that deputies stopped the two suspects at the intersection of Poplar Springs Fork and Bolding Road in Oakwood around 10:30 p.m.
Agents with the Gainesville/Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad arrested 38-year-old Miguel Angel Cadena-Pacheco of Gainesville and 30-year-old Miguel Angel Guzman-Abarca 30 of Chicago after deputies found 1,300 grams or 1.3 kilos of methamphetamine and just under 700 grams of heroin in the vehicle. Along with the drugs, deputies also seized around $1,500 cash.
The suspects were transported by agents to the Hall County Jail, where they remain without bond as of this report. The case is still under investigation by the MANS Unit.
