An accident early Thursday evening on Jesse Jewell Parkway in Gainesville left a pedestrian with injuries.
According to Lt. Kevin Holbrook with the Gainesville Police Department, a car struck a woman at the intersection of West Academy Street. He said the woman was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center and is expected to recover. He described her injuries as "moderate."
The accident remains under investigation.
