*Registration is now open for the Hall County Government Scholars' Academy, which will be held March 3- May 5. Each of the nine sessions will focus on a different aspect of local government and will include tours of many facilities. *Piedmont College Theatre presents "Arsenic and Old Lace" at 7:30 p.m. February 13-15 and 2 p.m. February 16 in the Swanson Center Mainstage Theater. Adult tickets are $10, senior and student tickets are $5, and Piedmont College faculty, staff, and students are free. *The Rotary Club of Buford/North Gwinnett invites all runners to the 9th Annual Suwanee Sweetheart Sprint on February 15.  The 5k sprint is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier that begins and ends at Suwanee’s Town Center Park.  For more information, visit Rotary.org.

*Students from several Northeast Georgia schools will be among more than 200 high schoolers from across the state who will gather at the State Capitol Feb. 5 to celebrate Georgia’s 2020 Advanced Placement Legislative Day. Students will have the chance to meet with Governor Brian Kemp in the morning and visit their state legislators’ offices in the afternoon to discuss their personal experiences with AP and the benefits of the program.  Participating Northeast Georgia schools are Gainesville High School, Habersham Central High School, and Flowery Branch High School.

*The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission Career Coach will visit the Place of Forsyth Job Fair in Cumming Feb. 7, 10 AM – 12 PM. The job fair will be held at Browns Bridge Church at 2860 Browns Bridge Road.

*For nearly two decades, scholars with expertise on the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada have shared their insights at the Conference on the Americas.
