So that school district officials can assess road conditions following Thursday's torrential rains in North Georgia, a number of school systems will operate on a two-hour delay Friday.
The following school systems will begin their day two hours later than usual:
- Dawson County
- Franklin County
- Habersham County
- Lumpkin County
- Rabun County
- Union County
- White County
- The University of North Georgia's Blue Ridge campus will open at 10 a.m. All other campuses will operate on a normal schedule.
*Towns County Schools are closed for the day because of accumulating snowfall.
