Two Blairsville men have been arrested in separate incidents involving the sexual exploitation of children.
Nelly Miles, spokeswoman for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, said the arrests occurred on Wednesday, Feb. 12, when agents with the GBI's Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes Unit and deputies with the Union County Sheriff's Office executed search warrants on two residences.
"The search warrants were related to two separate investigations related to the sexual exploitation of children," Miles wrote in a press statement.
Following the execution of the search warrants, Steven Hildebrandt, 41, was charged with one count of possession of child pornography. Shaun Kanady, 20, was charged with four counts of possession of child pornography.
Miles declined to release further information, saying the investigations are active and ongoing.
