*Benjamin Cerny, a junior at Lanier Christian Academy, is the winner of this year’s Pro-Life Oratory and Writing Contest, sponsored by the Hall County Chapter of Georgia Right to Life. Cerny went on to place second in the Georgia Right to Life statewide contest.
*The Town of Braselton’s downtown parking deck has earned a statewide award for construction excellence. On March 24, the Associated General Contractors of America awarded Braselton first place in the 2020 AGC Build Georgia Awards.
*Three disciplines in the Ivester College of Health Sciences at Brenau University were ranked among the nation’s best by U.S. News & World Report in the publication’s 2021 Best Grad Schools rankings. The Brenau School of Occupational Therapy, the Mary Inez Grindle School of Nursing and the Physical Therapy Department — in only its fifth year — all ranked on the respective national lists. The School of Occupational Therapy was the top-ranked program in Georgia and one of the nation’s Top 50 best occupational therapy schools with a No. 42 overall ranking. The school’s program on its North Atlanta campus in Norcross, Georgia, also earned a No. 68 national ranking.
