The Gainesville Police Department is renewing a call for information in a 2015 shooting that left a Gainesville man dead.

Phillip Ronald Smith's body was found outside the "N" building of Atlanta Street Apartments on EE Butler Parkway the night of June 15, 2015. The apartment building has since been torn down and is currently the location of Walton Summit Apartments.

Investigators believe someone who lived at the apartments saw or heard something that night that will lead to an arrest in the case. A reward of up to $2,000 initially offered by Crime Stoppers remains on the table; tipsters can remain anonymous. Call 404-577-TIPS to reach Crime Stoppers or reach out to Investigator B. Raper at the Gainesville Police Department at 770-535-3783.
