No injuries were reported as a result of an Oakwood-area house fire Wednesday, although three Hall County Fire Service employees were injured after their vehicle crashed on the way to the scene.

Crews were dispatched to the residential duplex around 3:30 p.m., according to Fire Division Chief Zach Brackett.

"One fire apparatus was involved in a single-vehicle accident while en route to this incident," Brackett said via email. "The three Fire Services employees were transported to NEGMC-Gainesville for evaluation of minor injuries."

Other crew member continued on the the scene on Pebble Creek Lane, just off McClure Drive.

"Arriving units found a two unit residential structure with heavy fire showing from the attic," Brackett said. "The fire was extinguished quickly and all units have returned to service."

Damage to the residence was severe enough that two occupants were displaced by the fire. Brackett said the American Red Cross was notified and will provide assistance to those individuals.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Hall County Fire Marshall's Office.
