With the new month, District 2 Public Health has implemented a new schedule for specimen collection for COVID-19.
All tests - or specimen collections - for coronavirus are done free of charge and they are available to persons with or without symptoms of the virus. However, officials with the Department of Public Health ask citizens to make an appointment to avoid wait times at any office. (See Call Center hours below.)
Starting June 1, the testing hours are as follows:
Forsyth County Wednesday 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
Franklin County Tuesday 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
Friday 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
Habersham County Wednesday 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
Saturday 8:30 am to 12:00 pm
Hall County Mon., Tues., Thurs., Fri. 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
Sunday 9:00 am to 12:00 pm
Towns County Tuesday 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
Friday 8:30 am to 3:00 pm
