Nicholson woman sentenced for drug trafficking, possession charges

A Nicholson woman has been sentenced to 30 years with 20 to serve after being found guilty on charges including drug trafficking and possession.
 
Tracie Lynne Underwood, age 46, was arrested in 2016 during a search warrant of her residence, according to a social media post from the Jackson County Sheriff's Office. Officials found more than 370 grams of methamphetamine during the search.
 
Underwood was then charged on two counts of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of methamphetamine and two counts of possession of tools for the commission of a crime.
 
The case went to trial in February of 2020, where Underwood was found guilty on all counts. The Superior Court of Jackson County sentenced Underwood on July 1, 2020.
