Two Cleveland residents face charges in Hall County related to the alleged aggravated molestation of a minor during the summer of 2019.

Brittany Elizabeth Hayes, 28, and Timmy Allen Williamson, 39, were arrested at Hall County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters on July 1st.

Hall County Sheriff's Office spokesman Derreck Booth says both are charged with aggravated child molestation in the case, and each are said to have known the victim.

Williamson faces an additional charge of incest in connection to the same alleged assault, which is said to have taken place at Mossy Creek State Park in northern Hall County.

"Our investigation at the Hall County Sheriffs Office began back on May 27th of this year. We were given information about the incident by the White County Sheriff's Office," Booth said on Thursday.

Booth said investigators learned that the victim had disclosed the crime to an adult family member, who then reported the incident to law enforcement in White County.

"According to our preliminary investigation, Hayes performed an immoral and indecent act to the male victim, who was under the age of 16," Booth said. "Williamson, as a party to the crime, had a sexual interaction with Hayes, the first suspect, during the same time frame."

The crime is said to have occurred some time between June 1st and August 31st of 2019.

Williamson and Hayes remained in the Hall County Jail at last report, and the case remains under investigation by the Hall County Sheriff's Office.
