A fall tradition in Clarkesville for the past 45 years has been placed on the back burner this year because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
Organizers of the Chattahoochee Mountain Fair announced this past week the 2020 event has been canceled.
"We are continuously watching public health announcements from Habersham County and the State of Georgia," reads a statement on the fair website. "Considering when new public health announcements are made and the content of those announcements, we are looking to bring modifield entertainment to you at a later date."
Organizers said they are planning to resume the fair with a full schedule in 2021.
