Hall County Animal Services was awarded a grant for $35,000 on July 29 to go toward the purchase of pharmaceutical supplies for the Hall County Animal Shelter.

According to a press release from Hall County Government, the grant was comprised of funds provided by the Petco Foundation. This organization works with over 4,000 animal welfare organizations across the United States.

Stephanie List, Program Coordinator with Hall County Animal Services, said, “We are so grateful for this grant, which will go toward the purchase of various medications, vaccines and other pharmaceutical supplies to ensure the animals that come into the shelter are getting the best care possible.”

Funds from the grant will help the shelter continue to provide great care for their animals through numerous programs, specifically the Hall County Animal Shelter’s Community Cat Program. This program encourages safe, humane entrapment of feral cats followed by a spay or neuter procedure.

"Hall County Animal Services will be sure to maximize every penny of this grant for the betterment of our animal community," said List.
