District 2 Public Health has scheduled a free COVID-19 testing event for Saturday, Aug. 29 at St. John Baptist Church in Gainesville.
Department officials said the event will be held from 8:30 a.m. through 1 p.m. Appointments are recommended, but drive-ups will be worked in whenever possible during the event. Appointments can be scheduled at 770-531-5600.
St. John Baptist Church is located at 757 EE Butler Parkway.
Because of the special event at the event, the testing location at Allen Creek Soccer complex will not be open on Saturday.
