Buford Corn Maze opening September 5 with social distancing guidelines

The Buford Corn Maze will open for its 12th season on Saturday, September 5 with a social distancing policy in place amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to corn maze operators, when visitors arrive, they will have their temperature checked and be given a list of safety guidelines. Social distancing rules will be set up for visitors when lining up for attractions.

“The safety of our customers is our top priority,” said Rodney Miller, who founded the Buford Corn Maze and now operates it with his wife, Kendra, and partners Jerome and Tina Beggs. “We want them to know we are doing everything we can to make them safe while they are enjoying the corn maze and all our attractions.”

In addition to the corn maze, this year’s attractions include a hayride, two popcorn jumping pillows, a farmer’s combine slide, animal viewing area, pumpkin patch, pony rides and an expanded Kid’s Corn-er play area.

A new attraction for this year is a duck race. Additional special events include alpacas for viewing and discount days for students, first responders and veterans.

Ticket prices remain the same for this year. Admission for the corn maze and all attractions other than the Haunted Forest and pony rides are $15 per person. The Haunted Forest and all attractions other than the corn maze and pony rides are $15 per person. A combo ticket for the corn maze and Haunted Forest is $25 per person. Pony rides only are $5 per person.

The Buford Corn Maze also offers season ticket packages. Season tickets for the corn maze only are $35 per person. Season tickets for the Haunted Forest only are $35 per person. A season ticket combo for the corn maze and Haunted Forest is $60 per person.

The corn maze is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through September, then will be open every day beginning in October. The maze will go back to being open only on the weekends in November.

The “kid-spooky” Haunted Forest will open for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays beginning September 25 through November 8. This attraction will be open every night during the week of Halloween.
