A Buford man who shot and killed two women a week ago in a home in East Hall County is dead from injuries suffered in the same incident.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office confirmed the death of Shamiek Johnson, 26, in a Wednesday morning email statement. Johnson died on Thursday, Feb. 25, the day after the double murder on Broome Road.

The investigation to date shows Johnson shot and killed Anne Marie Wilson, 50, and her daughter Lauren Wilson, 20, and then turned the gun on himself. Johnson was hospitalized in critical condition immediately after the shooting.

Investigators said Johnson and Lauren Wilson had a child together, so they believe the shootings were related to a domestic dispute. The sheriff's office did not have updated information on the child's custody status.
