GAINESVILLE — The Gainesville girls and boys tennis teams beat Rabun County on Wednesday at Longwood Park.
Callie Patterson (6-2, 6-0), Lilly Winston (6-0, 6-0) and Hannah Williams (forfeit win) all won their singles matches, and Kate Abernathy and Gracie Nguyen (6-0, 6-1) captured the straight set doubles win to blow past the Wildcats, 4-1. The girls rolled past the Wildcats, 4-1GHS defeated Rabun County High School 4-1 at Longwood Park tonight.
In the boys' action, the Red Elephants shut out Rabun County, 5-0.
Philip Mady (6-0, 6-1), Truett Keener (6-1, 6-0) nailed down wins in straight sets, Rabun County forfeited the No. 3 singles action, and doubles teams of Charlie Burns and Caleb Anderson (6-0 6-0) and Holden Casey and Jacob Nguyen (6-0, 6-1) all rolled in straight sets.
