A man who attempted to rob a convenience store in Cumming on Thursday night remains on the run, and authorities consider him to be armed and dangerous.

The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office posted a BOLO for the suspect Friday and at last report the suspect had not been apprehended.

Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Stacie Miller said deputies responded to a silent alarm activation at Aagnee Food Mart on Hutchinson Road around 8:10 p.m. on July 15. She said witnesses told the deputies a Hispanic man armed with a small handgun had attempted to rob the store. No one was injured.

The suspect has been described as athletic or heavy-set, in his late 30s or early 40s, with short black hair and a beard. He left the scene in a quad cab Toyota Tacoma pick-up truck. A surveillance photos shows the truck has rain guards on each window, black wheels, Tonneau bed cover, and a large, white sticker in the center of the rear window.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or the vehicle is asked to notify Detective Kirschner at 770-781-2222 ext 3311 or [email protected]
