Due to rising COVID numbers, Habersham County Emergency Services is saying they are closing all fire stations to the public for the time being. Visitors will see signs on the door restricting their ability to enter.
A statement on their Facebook page says “Personnel who could become infected or sick and can’t work puts a heavier burden on the current workforce issues the fire and EMS industry has been experiencing.”
The statement also added that being in good health is important for emergency workers so they are available when the public needs their services.
