One woman was injured on Monday in Suwanee after her car collided with a tractor-trailer carrying liquid nitrogen. The accident at the intersection of McGinnis Ferry Road and Peachtree Industrial Boulevard took place just before 5 p.m. during busy traffic commute times.

Due to the nature of the chemicals in the truck, the westbound lanes of McGinnis Ferry road were closed for over two hours while a hazmat team helped safely move the vehicles.

A release from the Suwanee Police Department advised the public to stay out of the area while the accident was cleared.

No leaks were reported.

There was no update on the injured woman, but the police report defined her injuries as “minor.”

There was also no information on how the accident happened.
