A Gainesville man was arrested Wednesday on Interstate 985 for allegedly raping a woman last week.
A report from the Gainesville Police Department states Isaac Ramirez-Vargas, 19, is charged with rape and aggravated assault.
Corporal Jessica Van said an investigation began after the victim reported being raped on March 8. Ramirez-Vargas was identified as the suspect and warrants were taken out for his arrest.
Ramirez-Vargas also allegedly had a gun during the rape. He is being held at the Hall County Jail.
