A Sunday afternoon dispute in the parking lot of a Gwinnett County bar ended in a shooting that left one person dead.
Although details are limited, Lawrenceville Police say the shooting at 476 Gwinnett Drive - which appears to be the location of Lawrenceville's No Exit bar - happened just after 1 p.m.
"There was a dispute between several men at one of the bars and when it spilled out into the parking lot...one of the men was shot by another one," Lawrenceville Police Lt. Jake Parker said on Monday evening. "The person who was shot passed away after he was taken to the hospital."
Although no identities have been made public, Parker said the primary suspect in the shooting had been identified by authorities and taken into custody.
More information is expect in the coming days after authorities have consulted with the Gwinnett County medical examiner.
