Hall County Schools Superintendent Will Schofield recommended Dean DeVito as the next principal of Wauka Mountain Multiple Intelligences Academy.
DeVito will replace current principal Pam Doug, who will retire at the end of the school year. He currently serves as North Hall Middle School’s assistant principal.
DeVito started his teaching career as a high school special education teacher in Florida. He came to Hall County in 2006, where he taught at North Hall Middle School as a co-lead special education teacher. He also was a coordinator for North Hall Middle School’s Earhart-Edison STEM Academy.
“I am honored and excited to begin this new journey with the Wauka Mountain Multiple Intelligences Academy family,” DeVito said. “I believe that relationships are at the heart of what we do in schools, and I am looking forward to partnering with students, staff, families, and the community so that Wauka Mountain continues to thrive as a great place for our kids to learn and grow.”
