The Gwinnett County Special Victims Unit arrested two Lawrenceville parents on child abuse charges.
Omi Smith, 24, and Dorien Green, 27, were taken into custody on Monday following a search warrant at their home on 8208 Holland Place.
When officers arrived, they found three children ages 8, 4 and 3 living in unsanitary conditions. The floor, furniture and walls were covered with trash and old food, urine and feces.
The Department of Family and Children’s Services took the three children into custody. Smith and Green have been charged with three counts of cruelty to children in the 2nd degree.
