  1. Police identified man killed in Duluth sports bar shooting 

A Duluth man was killed after a shooting at a sports bar early Saturday morning. 

According to Gwinnett County Police, the shooting happened around 2:30 a.m. outside of the Sportstime Bar and Grille on Satellite Boulevard. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Kevin Blackwell with at least one gunshot wound.

Police are working to identify the gunman and determine a motive for the shooting.

  1. Buford man has serious injuries after hit and run 

A Buford man has severe injuries after a hit and run on Hamilton Mill Rd and Hamilton Mill Ln intersection.

The Gwinnett Police Accident Investigation Unit is working to identify the driver of a silver Chevrolet Traverse LS who hit a motorcycle on July 3, 2022, around 3:15 p.m.

According to a press release from the Gwinnett County Police Department, 28-year-old Brandon Hollister Sousa has serious injuries as a result of the incident. 

3.GSP:Missing Cleveland man found dead in overturned vehicle 

A missing Cleveland man was found dead in a wrecked vehicle in White County Friday morning. 

Jeffrey Robert McKenna, 50 of Cleveland, was reported missing on Tuesday, Aug. 16, after last being seen on Sunday, Aug, 14, the Georgia State Patrol reports.  

Friday morning, troopers were called to Ga. 75 (Helen Highway) north of Cleveland to investigate a fatal traffic crash, according to GSP.  The investigation revealed that a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado was traveling north on Helen Highway, traveled off of the east shoulder, and struck a dirt embankment. The Silverado vaulted over a driveway and landed in a ditch, overturning, coming to a final rest on its roof.

 Cleveland Police Chief Jeff Shoemaker said in a statement that "The members of Cleveland Police Department are saddened by the outcome; our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Mr. McKenna.”

4. Barrow authorities searching for vehicle after fatal hit and run

The Barrow County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying a vehicle that was involved in a fatal hit-and-run north of Winder early Sunday morning.

The Shariff's office said in a social media post that the vehicle in question is a silver Nissan Altima with damage to the front passenger side, including a broken mirror and broken lights. 

The accident reportedly happened just after midnight on Ga. 211 at Huntington Trace between the Winder Bypass and Rockwell Church Road. 

Anyone with information on the vehicle in question is asked to call 911.

5. Motorcycle wreck claims life of Cleveland man 

A White County man died in a motorcycle wreck outside Clarkesville early Sunday.

The Georgia State Patrol said 23-year-old Levi Sullens of Cleveland lost control of the motorcycle he was riding, traveled off Beaverdam Road, and struck a sign at around 2:15 a.m.
