A.J. Allmendinger showed why he's one of the most respected road racers in the NASCAR ranks today.  The 41-year-old dominated the second half of Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway road course, holding off a hard charge from William Byron to score the victory.

Meanwhile, four championship hopefuls saw their title dreams come to an end with Playoff elimination at the end of Sunday's race.

Our Hard Left Turn crew takes a look at all the news and views coming out of Charlotte, and gets you ready for this weekend's trip to Las Vegas.

WDUN will carry live PRN Radio coverage of the NASCAR race weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, beginning with Saturday's NASCAR Xfinity Series Alsco Uniforms 302 at 3 pm on 102.9 FM and streaming live on AccessWDUN.  Coverage continues on Sunday with the NASCAR Cup Series South Point 400 at 1:30 PM on 102.9 FM and streaming live on AccessWDUN.
