Habersham County is reminding community members that their landfill hours will be adjusted, opening an hour and a half later than normal starting Monday.
Leaders with Habersham County report the landfill hours will be adjusted starting Monday, according to spokesman Rob Moore.
The hours of operation will now be 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The landfill will remain closed on Sundays.
The previous hours were 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, presenting an hour-and-a-half shift in schedule. Additionally, while the landfill used to be open until noon on Saturdays, it will stay open a half hour longer, until 12:30 p.m., on Saturdays.
The landfill will also be closed Friday, Nov. 10, in observance of Veterans Day, according to officials.
