WOODSTOCK, Ga. — A disappointing season came to an end for Lanier Christian on Thursday in the quarterfinals of the GAPPS 11-man playoffs.
The Lightning dropped a 42-21 decision to King's Academy on the road.
It was the second loss of the season to the Knights for LCA (3-8) which dropped its final six games following a season-ending injury to quarterback CJ Britt.
Senior Sheppard Acton scored all three touchdowns for the Lightning. Acton returned a kickoff for a touchdown, returned an interception for touchdown, and added a rushing TD as well.
Sophopmore Drew Kalinauskas was 9-of-18 passing for 93 yards for LCA..
