AAA enacts its "Tow to Go" program for Thanksgiving holiday travelers

AAA is enacting their program designed to protect commuters and impaired drivers during holiday seasons.

AAA projects this to be the third-busiest Thanksgiving on record, with an estimated 49 million Americans expected to take a road trip during the extended holiday

With over 360-thousand commuters expected along the Georgia highways alone this week, the "Tow to Go" program is now available here and in select states through Monday, November 27.

"Tow to Go" offers a safe ride for would-be-impaired drivers and their vehicles. AAA requests that the program be used as a last resort, yet it is free to those who need it.

The Auto Club Group dispatches a tow truck to transport the impaired person and their vehicle to a safe location within a 10-mile radius for free.

This is the 25th year The Auto Club Group has provided the "Tow to Go" program. Since its inception, "Tow to Go" has removed more than 25-thousand impared drivers from the road.
