Hall County Fire Rescue and the Hall County Sheriff's Office teamed up with the Atlanta Falcons 2023 Rookie class Tuesday for an afternoon of conversation and fun.

Players were able to visit Station 5 in Flowery Branch to take a station tour and meet with Hall County Firefighters and Police Officers to speak about public safety and their roles in the community.

"It's us just showing our appreciation to them and to what they do for our community in our county and just as players and as athletes just understanding that we need them just as much as we feel that we entertain them, but we need them to save lives," said Falcons first-round draft pick Bijan Robinson.

The event also featured a DJ booth, food trucks, a prize wheel and a competition to see who could put on firefighting gear in a race between the firefighters and Rookies.

Flowery Branch has been home to the Atlanta Falcons Training Camp since 2005 and is just 1 mile away from Hall County Fire Station 5 on Falcon Parkway.

"I think it's important that people of the community are on the same page and able to just band together, that's what we're most excited for is recognizing their impact on the community as athletes and same for us as public safety," said Hall County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Kimberlie Ledsinger.

At the end of the event, the Rookies gifted Station 5 with a brand-new furniture set for their patio.
