Governor Kemp announces two new appointments to North Georgia Court Circuits

A release from Governor Brian Kemp's office this week lists new appointments to circuti court systems in North Georgia.  Two of them fall within Northeast Georgia.

Jessica Martin has been appointed as the new Solicitor General for Habersham County. 

She fills the vacancy created when Kemp appointed William Oliver as the new Judge for Mountain Judicial Superior Court earlier this year.

Martin previously worked as an associate attorney for McClure, Ramsay, Dickerson & Escoe LLP and as a law clerk for the Piedmont Judicial Circuit.

Martin earned her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law and a B.A. in Political Science and Business from Piedmont College. 

Also, Susan Treadaway has been appointed as District Attorney for the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit, filling the vacancy left by Shannon Wallace, who now is the judge for Blue Ridge Superior Court. 

Treadaway previously served on the Georgia Statewide Human Trafficking Task Force and as representative chair for the District Attorney on the Child Fatality Review Panel.

Treadway earned her J.D. from Georgia State University and obtained a B.B.A. from Florida State University.
