A man was arrested Monday morning after authorities say he shot another man in a road rage incident on Georgia 400 in Forsyth County.

In a release, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office officials said the incident happened around 8:15 a.m. in the southbound lanes of 400 when a man was driving behind a white Toyota passenger car that he said was driving slowly in the left lane. The man reportedly admitted to police that he was following the Toyota too closely before blowing his horn and going around it.

The driver of the Toyota then began following the man and allegedly fired several shots at his vehicle between Exit 14 and Exit 13. One of the shots hit the man in the arm and the back window of his vehicle was shattered.

The man who was shot tried to follow the Toyota but lost sight of it in the area of Pendley Road. He called authorities, who later located and stopped the vehicle. The driver was identified as Joshua Kasparek, age 31.

Kasparek was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and reckless conduct. He was also charged with violation of a family violence court order as authorities learned he had an order against him that did not allow him to possess or purchase a firearm.
