The North Georgia Community Foundation's community room is now available for the public to rent and use as a meeting space.

According to a press release from NGCF, the community room is specifically available for use by nonprofits and businesses. The space is located next to NGCF's offices on the sixth floor of the Pinnacle Bank building in Gainesville.

"Since February of this year, more than 1,000 individuals associated with 36 different organizations have utilized the community room for meetings and other business gatherings." a press release from the foundation reads.

NGCF celebrated the opening of the community room along with their newly renovated office space in Dec. 2022. NGCF's move to the new space last year was the result of a three-year strategic plan developed with their Board of Directors, which determined the organization needed more visibility and room for growth.

“Building the NGCF Community Room was not part of our original plan,” said Michelle Prater, NGCF President & CEO, “but we know nonprofits are challenged to find available space to host their larger groups and saw an opportunity to meet this need. We are thankful for the donors who came alongside us to create this space where nonprofits and businesses can meet, grow, and thrive.”

The room is available to nonprofits free of charge. Businesses can rent the community room, with all fees supporting the future operations and use of the space.

The donors who supported the NGCF Community Room are The Fockele Family, The Anne & George Thomas Family, Starlet & George Jones, the W. Frank & Lillie Mae Green Community Fund at NGCF and Capstone Property Group.
