ATLANTA – Jefferson head football coach Travis Noland got his 200th career win in a 42-0 rout of St. Pius Friday night.
The Dragons struck early as Gavin Markey found Rodney Hinton for a 55-yard passing touchdown four minutes into the game to take an early lead. From there, it became the Sammy Brown show as he scored from seven and four yards out on back-to-back possessions to increase the lead to 21-0 early in the second quarter.
Markey continued throwing the ball midway through the second as he found Zay Minish for a 7-yard connection before hooking up with Christopher Law for 25-yards and a touchdown just before halftime to take a 35-0 lead. The Dragons scored once in the fourth quarter to get the win.
Jefferson will host Oconee County next week.
