TOCCOA, Ga. – Five Dawson County turnovers led to 28 points for Stephens County as the Indians won, 35-0, Friday night.

In the first three minutes of the game, Stephens County accounted for a pick-six, a one-play drive as Javin Gordon found paydirt from eight yards out and a scoop-and-score on a kickoff to give the Indians a 21-0 lead with 9:00 left in the first quarter.

From there, the Tigers settled in, not allowing another Indian point until midway through the third quarter when Gordon rattled off a 36-yard touchdown run. The Indians got a late interception in the fourth quarter that they cashed in shortly after on a 5-yard touchdown run.

Colton Schutte had an interception for the Tigers that kept Stephens County out of the endzone. Dom LeBlanc led the Tigers in receiving with 62 yards.

The Tigers open up region play in two weeks against West Hall.
