No injuries were reported after Hall County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire yesterday in the 5000 block of Arthur Ave. in Oakwood.
Hall County 911 was alerted by a neighbor who noticed smoke that was coming from the roofline.
No one was home at the time of the fire and the caller reported that they had heard working smoke alarms.
Officials say that the fire in the 1800 square foot home appears to have started on or at the stove, burning the kitchen area and advanced into the attic.
Arriving units conduced a primary search of the home to confirm that no one was inside and were able to use hose lines inside the house to extinguish the fire.
