A man was arrested in Flowery Branch last week on a sexual battery charge.
The Flowery Branch Police Department (FBPD) reports that on Oct. 11, an adult woman met 27-year-old Sri Hanuchaitanya Immanni while working as a food delivery driver and they exchanged contact information.
Later that evening, Immanni contacted the victim and she agreed to meet him in a parking lot off of Spout Springs and Hog Mountain roads.
Immanni reportedly exposed himself to the victim and asked her to perform an act of sodomy. After her refusal, he allegedly tried to forcibly pull her hand and head toward his genitals, but she resisted and pulled away.
FBPD reports that despite her efforts, Immanni continued to pull her toward him. He then offered payment for the act, but she reportedly declined again.
FBPD also said that during the encounter, he grabbed the victim’s breast without her consent.
The woman managed to flee from the vehicle before calling the police.
FBPD officers responded and got her statement of the incident.
On Oct. 16, FBPD investigators interviewed Immanni at the police department. Investigators determined there was probable cause to charge him with false imprisonment, simple battery, solicitation for sodomy, and sexual battery.
Immanni was then transported to the Hall County Detention Center where he is being held without bond.
