Colin Gray pleads not guilty in Apalachee shooting case

Colin Gray, the father of the alleged Apalachee High School shooter Colt Gray, entered a plea of not guilty and waived his arraignment at the Barrow County Superior Courthouse that was scheduled for Thursday morning. 

 

His attorney told the court he would enter the plea, while Colin himself did not appear in the courtroom. 

 

Colin is accused of allowing his son to own the firearm that he allegedly used in the September 4 shooting at Apalachee High School that left students Christian Angulo and Mason Schermerhorn and teachers Richard Aspinwall and Anna-Christina Irimie dead. Colin faces a total of 29 charges: 

 

 

Meanwhile, Colt Gray, who faces over 50 charges in the case, including multiple counts of murder, aggravated assault and cruelty to children,  also waived his arraignment scheduled for Nov. 21 by entering a plea of not guilty on Oct. 22. He is currently being held in the Gainesville Regional Youth Detention Center.

 

An official date for Colin’s next hearing has not been released.
