Two north Georgia school districts are operating on a delayed schedule today due to winter weather.

Union County and Fannin County decided to delay class due to potentially hazardous road conditions caused by snowfall. Union County Schools started two hours later due to slick icy spots on the north side of the county.

School officials plan to share additional updates on the school schedule later in the morning. You can learn more about the delayed opening on the Union County School District's social media page.

Also, the Fannin County Schools also delayed class by two-hours for precautions due to weather conditions this morning. Details on the closure can be found at their school system's social media page, found here
