Previously reported missing Gainesville woman is safe

A Gainesville woman initially reported missing to local police is reported to be safe.  

Lashonda Lyle told AccessWDUN that she is fine, and not missing.  Police in Gainesville were intially informed that she was missing on Thursday, December 5, but reported on December 9 that she was safe.

Gainesville authorities are searching for a local woman who was reported missing on Thursday, Dec. 5.

The Gainesville Police Department said Lashonda Lyle, 52, of Gainesville, was reported missing in the Dawsonville Highway area.

Lyle is 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs around 150 pounds.

She drives a dark red Nissan sedan with the tag “LLYLE.” Police officials said she may be in an altered state of mind.

Those with information regarding her whereabouts should call 911.
