Hall County Superintendent Will Schofield announced his recommendation for the next principal of South Hall Middle School.
The official recommendation of Kristi House will be made at the Monday board meeting.
House is the current associate principal and will take the place of principal Joey Millwood, who is transitioning to the district-wide role of director of student services.
“Taking on the role of Principal at South Hall Middle School is both an honor and a privilege,” House said. “South Hall Middle is a place where every student’s potential is nurtured, and the sense of community is felt in every hallway. I’m excited to contribute to a legacy of growth, compassion, and learning, and to serve alongside such a dedicated team.
House was a longtime basketball coach and teacher at Johnson and North Hall high schools, before she assumed the role of assistant principal and athletic director at South Hall when Millwood began switching over.
"Kristi House brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to her new role as principal of South Hall Middle School,” Schofield said. “As an outstanding instructional leader, Kristi has demonstrated a deep commitment to academic excellence and creating opportunities for student success.”
House holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the State University of West Georgia, a master’s degree from the University of Georgia, and an educational specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University.
