DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — The Daytona 500 NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona International Speedway has been postponed from Sunday to Monday because of rain.
The season opener has been rescheduled to Monday at 4 p.m. and will be broadcast on WDUN FM 102.9 and streamed live at accesswdun.com.
On Wednesday, Ford swept the front row in qualifying for the Daytona 500, with former race winners Joey Logano and Michael McDowell taking the top two spots.
Dawsonville's Chase Elliott will roll off fifth. He is one of two Georgia drivers in the field. David Ragan (Unadilla, Ga.) will start 30th.
