A three-vehicle accident on Thompson Bridge Road just north of Gainesville left one person injured Wednesday afternoon.
A report from the Georgia State Patrol said a vehicle failed to yield while turning left from the northbound side of Thompson Bridge Road onto Ledan Extension and was hit by a southbound vehicle just before 5:00 p.m.
None of the drivers involved have been identified as of Thursday afternoon, but the state patrol did say the driver of the at-fault vehicle was a female and was taken from the scene to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for her injuries. She has been cited for failure to yield.
The accident blocked part of the Thompson Bridge Road-Ledan Extension intersection during the Wednesday afternoon commute.
