OAKWOOD, Ga. — Class 4A ninth-ranked Johnson scored four second half goals to rally for a 4-1 win over East Forsyth on Friday in Region 8-4A action at The Dungeon.
The Lady Knights (7-2, 5-1 Region 8-4A) trailed 1-0 at the half after East Forsyth (5-6, 4-4 Region 8-4A) scored off a defender deflection.
Johnson turned up the offense in the second half. Arithzi Vargas tied the match off an assist by Gisselle Garcia for her first goal of the season. On a beautiful feed from Hailey Herrera, Garcia then hit a rainbow shot over the keeper for her first goal of the season.
Angelique Zelaya scored off a cross from Keily Gonzales and Sarah Prada then finished with an unassisted goal for her first goal of the season.
Johnson next plays host to Cedar Shoals on Tuesday.

Sadie Leek scored four first half goals to lead the Lady Lions to a shutout win.
Annie Nivens scored one goal for Lakeview (7-1, 1-0 GIAA Area 4A/3A).
Jalyn Purdy had two assists and Parish Byrd, Mackay Vinton, and Nivens each had an assist for the Lady Lions.
Keeper Amelia Corbin recorded her second straight shutout and third on the season.
