New details were released Friday morning on a Wednesday afternoon pursuit in northwest Hall County which ended after the suspect attempted to swim away from authorities in Lake Lanier.

The Hall County Sheriff's Office released information on the drug charges that Clint Lee Nalley, 37, of Gainesville, faced in the wake of the pursuit. The agency said he was found with about $6,100 worth of illegal drugs.

The agency said investigators tested the substances found in his possession and determined Nalley had 2.8 ounces of methamphetamine and 1.4 grams of cocaine. As a result, Nalley was charged by the sheriff's office with possession of methamphetamine, trafficking of methamphetamine, and possession of cocaine. He remained in the Hall County Jail as of late Friday morning.

The Georgia State Patrol previously told AccessWDUN that Nalley was spotted on a motorcycle without a helmet on. A state trooper attempted to pull him over, but the man instead sped off and fled down several area roads.

Nalley eventually turned off of Dawsonville Highway onto Old Fork Road, ran into a dead end, lost control of the vehicle and crashed.

He fled from the crash scene on foot into a wooded area. Nalley then got into Lake Lanier and attempted to swim away from authorities.

Troopers and a Hall County Sheriff's Deputy got on a civilian bass boat and were able to remove the suspect from the water and arrest him.

Aside from the drug charges, Nalley is also facing the following charges related to the pursuit: fleeing or attempting to elude, reckless driving, obstruction, driving while license suspended/revoked, no proof of minimum insurance, registration decal not current, and equipment for motorcycle riders (headgear meet standards).
